Chanel’s Pop Up

chanels-popup-store-fashion-ParisFor the fourth time, you can visit the Chanel Pop up store in La Mistralée Hotel in Saint Tropez. In the minimalistic Le Mistralée you can set eyes on the S/S 2013 collection and the Paris-Edimbourg Metiers d’art 2012-13 collection.

The interior of the store is amazing; the geometric shapes in the interior design in contrast with the antique parquet floors and white walls. To give the space some natural light the ceiling is made out of glass. In the middle of the room you see the famous hula-hoop Chanel bag and other fantastic designs of Chanel.

Also the visitors can relax in the garden, under a Chanel umbrella.

Five Dutch designers give their views on Maxima’s dress of 2013.

Designers show their vision on  Máxima’s dress for the throne change. Exclusively for Vogue every day a designer presents a designer design.

Maison Martin Margiela ‘Residual Spaces’

Residual-Spaces-maison-martin-margiela-salone-del-mobileAt  Salone del Mobile in Milan last week.

The Maison Martin Margiela house was designed by street artist Cédric Bernadotte, entitled Residual Spaces. Living in the garden of MMM headquarters, a web of cellophane symbolizes the introduction of the brand concepts of  ”spontaneity and artisanal into an urban setting,” by giving function to non-traditional spaces. Bernadotte’s work uses the pre-existing urban landscape as a base material for home/decor, showing that we can ultimately reside wherever we choose.

Dining by Design in New York

DIFFA, Design Industries Foundation Fights AIDS, launched their annual tour of Dining by Design in New York. This event is their main foundation fundraising platform. The designers that made this fantastic entrance of the event are; Input Creative Studio and Clark Gaynor Interiors.

The entrance is inspired by the illness and fighting it; the journey of an AIDS victim. It’s saying;  “light at the end of the tunnel”. ´The two hundred and seventy two light bulbs create an abstracted mirror above, making the cause relatable as viewers look up and see their own reflection. Powerful yet nostalgic, the design pulls one in to reflect, literally and figuratively, on the cause.´
